Compromising for Independence
The reform of the Declaration of Independence was The Treaty of Paris. This document was a compromise between the colonies and Britain that created a world-wide acknowledgment of America's independence.

Finally acknowledged the thirteen colonies were free and independent; able to govern themselves
Also allowed the colonies to expand to the West and evacuated all British forces from the colonies
Resolved the issue of property with Loyalists, since the British insisted that the Loyalists would not be denied their rights
Signified the end of the American Revolution
